How we review Whop communities
Every review on whop.guide follows the same standards. Here's exactly how we work.
Our Mission
whop.guide exists to help people make informed decisions about where to spend their money on Whop. We provide honest, independent reviews and comparisons based on real testing — not press releases, not paid placements, not guesswork.
How We Select Communities to Review
We prioritize communities based on three factors: popularity (member count and search demand), price range (we cover everything from $10 to $700/month), and reader requests. We don't accept payment to review or prioritize any community.
How We Test
Every community we review goes through the same process. We join as a regular paying member with no special access or free accounts. We spend at least 30 days inside the community using its features, attending sessions, and following its content. We evaluate based on content quality, community engagement, value for money, and real member results. We document everything during the testing period so our reviews reflect actual experience, not first impressions.
How We Rate
Our ratings are based on five criteria: content quality, community activity, ease of use, value for money, and results. Every review includes both pros and cons. A perfect score is rare — every community has weaknesses and we'll always mention them.
Our Relationship with Whop
whop.guide is an independent site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whop Inc. I (Ewen) am a developer in the Whop ecosystem — I've built apps like Kickback and Affiliate Link on the Whop App Store. This gives us insider knowledge of the platform, but it does not influence our reviews. We don't give favorable reviews to communities because they're on the same platform as our tools.
How We Make Money
This site is funded by Kickback, our free Chrome extension that gives users cashback on Whop purchases. We link to external review sites that may contain affiliate links. whop.guide itself does not contain affiliate links and does not earn commissions directly from the communities we review.
Updates
We revisit our reviews periodically. Communities change — prices go up, features get added or removed, quality shifts. When we update a review, we note the date of the update at the top of the article.
